Dragon Fire World Cup. The race was held at ET Motorpark in Queen Creek, Arizona. This was the Sunday races, either the Pro class or the Open class. I am not sure which, Robert raced both that day.

This was the awards ceremony for the Dragon Fire race on Sunday afternoon. Robert placed 4th in the Open Class. He did not race the Open class on Saturday and won 1st on Sunday. Left to right is Julie (she helps run ET), ???, Robert, Brandon, Dragon Fire guy, Sean A., and Bronco Dan.
Monster Jam at Chase Field. These races always fun. This was the first race before the show started. Cornering and speed counted here, the track was basically a big oval with two speed bumps.
Robert was fast. I bought him custom flags for Christmas. One is his number, 64. The other is an R-N-R logo flag. He was going so fast you could not read them.
This was the second race during the show. It got a little harry at the start. You can see Justin Quinn in the red car driving up onto Robert rear tire and the other gray cars rear tire. Look in the Misc. photo's page. I will put up a couple of the monster truck photos. You can see them here at the bottom of the photo sitting on the field while they raced.
Larry and Michelle (my sister and brother-in-law for those of you who don't know who they are) came with us to San Jacinto, California for the Saboba Grand Prix. Larry helped Robert get ready for the race.

Round one of Podium Productions Extreme-X Action Sports series. This is at the Fairgrounds in Imperial, California. Robert was battling it out with Todd Arthur, one of his biggest competitors this year.
ET Motorpark, a local race. I think this is the weekend Robert tested his adjusted suspension because his car was handling really well in the corners and jumping better.

Moto 1 at the Down N Dirty Offroad Tour May 3rd, 2008. Robert took the win in both moto's. They had a Guitar Hero competition, free style show, a band, and a show in shine for the best looking sand rails, UTV's, etc.
CORR at Primm, Nevada on May 17 & 18, 2008. This was Saturdays race. We were the last race of the day. Robert did really well until he lost his clutch belt in the 8th laps.
Robert and Chad battled it out pretty good for a few laps. They both broke on Saturday. Sunday Chad finished the race, we unfortunately were plagued with mechanical problems Saturday and Sunday. (Primm, NV May '08)
CORR rnd 5/6 in Pomona, CA on June 7th & 8th, 2008. What a fun weekend and finally one where we were not sweltering from the heat! Robert did great Saturday and Sunday with a 1st and 3rd place.

This is everyone lining up outside the hot pits on Sunday getting ready to race. On the far left is the Pro Buggies, in the middle you can see the Pro 2 guys and on the right is the UTV's. Today the UTV's were special enough to race a 1:40 in front of a packed house. It was great. (Pomona June, '08)

This is the Whiplash race at Fort McDowell in June. It was a also a first for Robert having a passenger with him for a race. Shane rode with Robert the whole race, brave soul! :)
The desert course was about a 2 1/2 mile loop. I think they considered it part motocross. Racing for 2 hours made for around 20 so odd laps, it went by fast though. Robert had the fastest lap time of all of the classes and placed 2nd in his class. But, with it being so dark and only one light he could not see very well and slowed down.

Rear shock mount that bent and started to tear away from the frame. They got it fixed very quickly.
Whiplash is a long desert race, run in grandprix fashion. The first to complete five laps brings out the checkered flag for the rest of the field. So, if you have only run 3 of the five laps when you cross the checkered flag you are done. This was the start, they staggered the in 30 sec. increments.
